Transcript 3480: A foetal Sloth (Bradypus tridactylus) at the latter period of uterine gestation. The pectoral situation of the mammae and the rudiment of a thumb, deserve notice in this preparation. The body is hairless, but upon the lips and chin are a number of short papilliform processes. The foetus resembles the adult in the length and slenderness of the neck and in the great disproportion in length of the fore and hind limbs.
