Admin./ biographical historyGiovanni Aldini was a Physicist and Physician. He was Professsor of Experimental Physics at the University of Bologna in 1798. In the early nineteenth century, he embarked on a European tour to convince the scientific community of the existence of animal electricity and of the medical application of galvanism. His demonstrations and practical lessons took place in the anatomical ampitheatres of London.

The front cover of the notebook was written by William Clift, the record of the experiments was written by an unknown hand.
