Transcript987: A Sea-mouse with the ventral and part of the left walls of the body removed to expose the alimentary canal. In passing from the pharynx to the stomach- intestine the canal makes a sharp sigmoid bend forwards and upwards. Several of the digestive caeca of the stomach-intestine have been cut short and one has been isolated to show its enlargement as it proceeds from the gut, and several of its subsidiary branches. The above two specimens are mounted with No. 465.
