DescriptionSkull showing extensive syphilitic caries, together with secondary osteomyelitis.
The greater part of the parietal bones have been destroyed and sequestrated, and there are numerous irregular apertures in the other bones of the calvaria. Some of the lesions are smoothly healed. In the upper part of the occipital bone the surface is eroded with shallow pits and channels, some of which have perforated the bone, and the area is evidently the seat of a secondary pyogenic osteomyelitis.
