DescriptionStatue of John Hunter by Henry Weekes, inscribed, 1864.
This sculpture was commissioned in 1864 by public subscription. It is modelled on the portrait of John Hunter by Sir Joshua Reynolds which normally hangs in the Council Room of the College. The statue was formerly displayed in the College Museum, but was moved to its present location during the post-war rebuilding.
