This woodcut is based on one of several drawings made by Mundie during a visit to the Hunterian Museum in January 2008. His work was part of a broader study of anatomical and pathological museum specimens for his project 'Cabinet of Curiosities' (http://www.mundieart.com/cabinet/intro.htm).
