Admin./ biographical historyPublished volume printed by E&S Livingstone, compiled by Jessie Dobson, 1971.
Following the loss of many specimens through the bombing of the College in 1941 the collections were re-organised and the Museum re-opened in 1963 with the name 'The Hunterian Museum', to show the new emphasis on Hunter's original collections, and the loss or de-accessioning of many of the later additions to the Museum. The foreword and preface to the volume note that Hunter's original arrangement and Owen's original numbering system have been restored. The majority of the descriptions in the catalogue, along with the opening descriptions of the physiological system described, are primarily copied from Hunter and Owen's original writings and catalogues.
