Admin./ biographical historyRalph Stockman (1861-1946) graduated Bachelor of Medicine and Master of Surgery in 1882, and Doctor of Medicine in 1886 at the University of Edinburgh. His career included work as Resident Physician at the Royal Infirmary, Edinburgh; Assistant to the Professor of Materia Medica at the University of Edinburgh; Examiner in Materia Medica and Therapeutics at various Universities; and Physician at the West Infirmary, Glasgow before becoming Professor of Materia Medica and Therapeutics at the University of Glasgow.
Dr Francis James Charteris graduated as Bachelor of Medicine and Master of Surgery at the University of Glasgow in 1897. Dr Charteris was Assistant Medical Officer at Her Majesty's Prisons, Barlinnie and Duke Street, and the Physicians Centre Dispensary and Public Dispensary in Glasgow. He then became Dispensing Physician at the West Infirmary, Glasgow before becoming the Assistant to the Professor of Materia Medica and Therapeutics at the University of Glasgow.
