Scope and ContentThis sub fonds contains general correspondence to and from Sir Arthur Keith from a variety of individuals including his neice Margaret Willis, Lady Mary Boyd Dawkins, Leonard Darwin, Ian Cornwall and Frederick Wood-Jones; personal correspondence to and from his family and his wife Celia; a series of letters written to Sir Arthur in response to the publication of his autobiography; letters of congratulation to Sir Arthur on birthday's and his appointments to honorary positions; and a series of correspondence writen to and from Keith during his time at Downe, Kent.

It can be consulted in our Research Room at the Royal College of Surgeons of England, 38-43 Lincoln's Inn Fields, London WC2A 3PE. It is essential to book in advance so we can ensure material is available. Please email archives@rcseng.ac.uk to book a Research Room appointment. Access to some records may be restricted due to Data Protection legislation. We will advise where this is the case.
