Admin./ biographical historyOn 26 May 1800 a Board of Curators was established, consisting of seven members, elected annually. They oversaw the general running of the Museum. On 31st January 1839 the name of this committee was changed to the Museum Committee. In 1937 the committee became the museum and research committee as the head of museum also became the head of research at the College. This section also includes the records of the Working Party on Museums 1972-3, which was created to review the College's policies regarding the museums. It consisted of Hunterian Trustees, museum staff, the President and Vice-President and other stakeholders.
