Admin./ biographical historyEdward Victor Hugo was a Surgeon, Lieutenant Colonel, and a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (1906). He was present at the Dardanelles landing in 1915 as senior medical officer on the hospital ship, Gascon. In 1916, he was posted to the Mesopotamian Expeditionary Force as a consulting surgeon, was mentioned in dispatches, and was created C.M.G. in 1917.
