Scope and ContentSeveral sets of sketches and photographs depicting various injuries and surgical procedures. Some depict wounds sustained and treated during battle. The sketches and photography appear to have been collected rather than created by Gordon-Taylor. Most of the drawings are annotated with reprographics notes, and some with typed captions, so were likely used as illustrations for articles by Gordon-Taylor. He seemed to publish most frequently in the British Journal of Surgery and the British Medical Journal. Many of the photographs and sketches were found loose and it is not clear which articles or publications they were originally intended to illustrate, or if the illustrations were used on multiple occasions for different publications.
