Scope and ContentVolume of manuscript receipts [recipes] probably compiled by J Sharp after 1782.
Includes instructions for 'preserving birds in their plumage' and making mixtures including cement, red dye and salve for chapped hands. Also includes a substantial section entitled 'A choice Collection of Physical Receipts', which gives recipes for medicines to cure ailments including rheumatism, stomach ache, jaundice and warts and an unusual recipe to make hair grow on any part of the body. There are also some food recipes including how to make gingerbread and rock cakes.
